In Much Wisdom is Much Grief, Part 2
Updated 29 March 2013
Ecclesiastes
chapter 1 is a fascinating look at the discovery by King Solomon that
seeking fulfillment in the world is futile! He concludes that our
best chance comes not from the world, but from fearing God and keeping
His commandments. But in verse 18, he tells us that wisdom brings
with it grief and increasing knowledge increases sorrow. Is this
why we got saved? Is that what's in store for us?
Sorrow? Grief? Let's dig in and see what Solomon was
talking about! The audio
and PowerPoint slides are all available on the Sword Sharpening page, and videos have been posted

History Channel's "The Bible" Series Got it Right!
Updated 19 March 2013
I
haven't watched a moment of this series on the History channel because
I believed they would get so much of the Bible wrong that it would be a
waste of time. From what I hear from others, I was right...they
did get it wrong in many instances. What is the point of making a
movie about the Bible if you aren't going to follow the Bible?
But the saddest part of it is that MOST OF THE CHRISTIANS IN THE
UNITED STATES will get their doctrine from this series than from the
actual Bible itself, putting the creators in the wrong place when they
have to answer for what they taught. I prefer "Pure Bibe, No
Compromise" myself.
But they did get one thing right: check out the face of Satan. Of whom are you reminded?

No Man Cometh to the Father but by Me
Updated 1 March 2013
This
is part 4 of a 4-part series on John 14:6 in which Jesus tells us that
He is "the Way, the Truth, and the Life". We've examined
each of
these terms to determine why Jesus chose these words, and we
now culminate with "No man cometh to the Father but by Me".
The
world
today would have us believe there are other ways - there are
not.
This lesson digs in to find all the meaning of His description of
Himself. We hope you enjoy! The audio
and PowerPoint slides are all available on the Sword Sharpening page, and videos have been posted

A Crime in
Gibeah
Updated 25
January 2013
Judges
chapter 19 is another of those chapters in the Bible that we may read
and not fully understand. This lesson goes into detail about that
chapter and explains what happened and shows some unexpected results.
Did God approve of what happened in this chapter? Go through it with us
to find out...bring your shovel with you as we dig deep into His Word!

Caught
Between a Vow and Hard Place
Updated 18
January 2013
How
many times have you read Judges Chapter 11, the story of Jephthah and
the offering of his daughter, and wondered how in the world such a
story could be in the Bible? Do you know the outcome of the
story? Did he really offer her as a burnt offering sacrifice
to
Yehovah God? Did he merely offer her as a "bondservant" to
God,
similar to what Hannah did in the book of 1st Samuel? This
lesson
dives into Judges Chapter 11 and spends over an hour talking about the
Levitical (and other) aspects of the vow and comes to a dramatic
conclusion about this lesson. If you have ever had any
questions
about this chapter, please review this lesson. The audio
and PowerPoint slides are all available on the Sword Sharpening page, and videos have been posted
on Godtube and Youtube.
You're probably aware of our
other ministry site called "Jesus is NOT in the Quran".
After several months of research in both the Bible and the
Quran,
we have put together a great book detailing differences between Jesus
of the Bible and Isa (jesus) of the Quran, and between Yehovah God, of
the Bible, and the false god of Islam. I urge you to head
over to
that site now and look at what is presented and, if you agree and like
what you read, please help us keep the ministry going by picking up a
copy of the book for your personal reference. Use this as a
witness tool. Take a stand against the evil that is
"Chrislam"
and be prepared to give reason for why you believe what you believe.
Goodbye, Dad
Updated 2 January
2013
My
father passed away this week on Monday morning at 6:23 am. I
was
able to be by his side for the final week of his life and, especially,
the last 60+ hours of his life as we had made the decision to put him
on a "comfort" solution to ease his pain until he went home.
I rubbed his arm, stroked his cheeks and talked with him for
many
of his last hours without leaving his side. Then I finally
put my
head down on folded arms beside him on his bed, and just 3 minutes
later my Mom woke me to tell me he had passed.
My Dad loved
to sit at his computer and reminisce about the old days, especially the
music that he loved. He sent me the link below several months
ago
and I want to share it with you now. It fits my Dad to a tee:
Dad,
I will always remember how you loved me! You are my
inspiration
to be a man of God and to love my family and spend every moment that I
can with them. Thank you for being MY Dad - I'm the luckiest
man
I know right now simply
to have been your son.
Go home now...it's suppertime and Grandma is calling.
Go to
her, by her side, where you've longed to be for so many years.
Both of you are healthy, happy, and wonderfully
blessed to
experience the Love of God firsthand right now.
I'll see you soon, Dad. I can't wait, really, but I have
family here to finish taking care of, and I'll make you proud.

The
parabale commonly known as "the parable of the unjust servant" is one
of the most difficult to understand. Many parables involved servants
and it's important that we understand today the context of servanthood
in Biblical times and examples. This parable appears on the
surface to be one that rewards the steward for doing unrighteous work,
but we need to dig in deep to understand it correctly. The audio
and PowerPoint slides are all available on the Sword Sharpening page, and videos have been posted
on Godtube and Youtube.
Set Up From
Everlasting
Updated 10
December

In one of the last
places you'd think to look for Him, in the book of Proverbs, we read
about a pre-incarnate Yeshua as He was "daily God's delight" and worked
out the very creation itself. Come with us on this journey
into
finding out exactly Who He is and looking at the probabilities that He
really, truly is Messiah! The audio
and PowerPoint slides are all available on the Sword Sharpening page, and videos have been posted

Can the
Saved be Lost?
Updated 2
December
2012
For much of
our church-going lives we've heard it said: "Once saved,
always
saved!" But is that really what Scripture says? Is
this
theory supported by Scripture? Let's take a deep look at what
the
Word of God truly says and then make our decisions based on that.
This lesson goes into great Scriptural detail to find out if
Calvin was right. The audio
and PowerPoint slides are all available on the Sword Sharpening page, and videos have been posted
on Godtube and Youtube.
The
annual festival of Ashura is underway in Islamic nations and you won't
believe the lengths they go to for their false god. Going
against
the God of the Bible, Muslims will go so far as to offer their own
children to their god in memory of a pedophile prophet and his son.
It defies logic, but it's totally true, and disgusting.

Zealous
for My Word, Parts 1-8
Updated 21
November
2012
In
doing a little housekeeping, I decided to combine all of the parts of
the current series we're going through titled "Zealous for My Word".
This series is covering Isaiah 66, one of the most overlooked
and
important passages in the Scriptures! In it we clearly see the love God will show to
those who choose to obey Him,
His intent of wrath for those who do not follow His commands,
the
Rapture (but not in the way the "New Testament" church would have you
believe), and finally, the reinstatement of pure worship and obedience
done His way as the chapter concludes. This chapter
holds fascinating insight for the Church today as well as for Israel,
and all should pay attention. All of the parts of the series
are available as audio, PowerPoint slides, and video on the Sword
Sharpening page.
We're
expanding! This week we purchased the domain "jesusisnotinthequran.org"
with the express purpose of focusing on the heresy that Christianity
and Islam both serve the same god. They do not, and the
difference is clear if you get past the pulpit of those churches
propagating such nonsense and simply look at the Scripture and the
Quran for yourself. The new site will give talking points
from
each that prove that the god of Islam is NOT the God of the Bible, and
that Jesus Christ, the Messiah, the Savior, is NOT in the Quran.

New
Covenant Gentiles?
Updated 22 August
2012
We're
starting a new line of ministry videos for Godtube and Youtube.
Because we always capture the weekly lessons and post
them for the world to see, I thought it may be pertinent to
begin
a series of mini-lessons that are simple and to the point, about 5 - 10
minutes long to entice listening. The first one is complete
and
has been posted online and covers the subject of New Covenant Gentiles.
Is there such a thing? Does Scripture support a
Gentile
remaining a Gentile after accepting Yeshua as Savior? Does a
saved Jew have to join the church, or does Scripture suggest just the
opposite? It's hard for a "New Testament" church to think of
itself as a part of Israel, but Scripture may suggest just that.
Have a quick look on Godtube!
Intelligence
and Special Operations forces are furious and frustrated at how
President Obama and those in positions of authority have exploited
their service for political advantage. Countless leaks, interviews and
decisions by the Obama Administration and other government officials
have undermined the success of our Intelligence and Special Operations
forces and put future missions and personnel at risk.
Please visit the link below and watch the video about how this
administration has placed so many of our military service members,
and especially the special forces, and their family members at risk.
Support the military folks protecting us - pray for them
always.
The
world would have you believe that obedience to God's law is no longer
required, but His Word explicitly tells us something different.
This lesson looks at legalism from the perspective of the
world,
the point of view that says "If you obey God's laws, you're making less
of the work of Christ". The Scriptures are clear that He
demands
and expects obedience and we should pay attention to His Word to show
us how to live our lives. Our salvation is sure because
of the blood of Yeshua, but obedience should come naturally as a
result. The audio
and PowerPoint slides are all available on the Sword Sharpening page, and videos have been posted
on Godtube and Youtube.
Biblical
Hope
Updated 12 June
2012
This
lesson focuses on the word "hope" as found in Scripture. But
before the Bible student can focus on the word, he must know for
certain that the Bible is true, and that's covered too! Hope
in
Scripture is a certainty and it is in Messiah that we hope!
Enjoy
this lesson and we hope your walk with Him is closer afterward.
The audio
and PowerPoint slides are all available on the Sword Sharpening page, and videos have been posted
on Godtube and Youtube.
Focus
on the Name
Updated 6 June
2012
This
lesson focuses on the Name of God and the Hebrew meanings of names and
their importance to denote the character, or essence, of the person.
Having an intimate relationship begins with knowing each other, and it
is important to know His Name and what it means to your salvation.
The audio
and PowerPoint slides are all available on the Sword Sharpening page, and videos have been posted
on Godtube and Youtube.
What
About the Other Scars?
Updated 2 June
2012
A
careful reading of Scripture will reveal a bit more about the terrible
beating that Yeshua took in order to secure your salvation and mine.
This lesson aims to help us understand the scourging process
that
He went through and the results thereof and holds this up to modern
thought of His resurrection body, looking at the shroud of Turin
(briefly) and then asking what John must have meant when he told us
that he saw "a Lamb as it had been slain" come forth to take the scroll
in Revelation 5:6. The audio
and PowerPoint slides are all available on the Sword Sharpening page, and videos have been posted
on Godtube and Youtube.
Is
Love the Only Command?
Updated 25 May
2012
Many
people in the church today believe that love is the only command, that
if they simply love God and their neighbor they are fulfilling the
commandments (which they also believe have been nailed to the cross and
are not for them anyway). But is that the truth? Is
that
what the New Testament authors gave us from the Holy Spirit?
This
lesson looks at the 10 commandments, one by one, from a new testament
perspective. Each of them are repeated and/or acted out in
the
New Testament and we can learn a lot about the commandments by how they
were applied in the years immediately following the death, burial, and
resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Yeshua. The audio
and PowerPoint slides are all available on the Sword Sharpening page, and videos have been posted
on Godtube and Youtube.
A
Beast Called Islam, Part 10 (Final)
Updated 22 May
2012
The
story of the beast concludes with part 10. What began as a
look
at the evils of Islam, including a thorough look at the Qur'an, the
Hadith, and the Sira, concludes with this lesson finishing the look at
the life of Mohammed. In our study, we also highlighted such
things as the church's view of Islam and how misguided leaders are
trying to further misguide you about the similarities between Islam and
Christianity (there are no similarities!) and designing "Chrislam".
Let's complete the study by saying this: the god of Islam is
a
black rock in Mecca, is not the same as the God of the Bible, and there
is no peace upon him or his pedophile prophet, and there is nothing the
Christian needs to know about Islam except to witness without
compromise (Jesus is *not* in the Qur'an) and pray that the Holy Spirit
will guide those whom He desires into His service. The audio
and PowerPoint slides are all available on the Sword Sharpening page, and videos have been posted
on Godtube and Youtube.
Strength
Through Obedience
Updated 24 April
2012
It's
the age-old question: Do Christians have to obey the law of
God? Does the liberty that we have in Messiah give us
"permission" to disobey the law? Does it make us "not subject
to
the law"? Was the law "nailed to the cross", and has it been
completely done away with for us? Better yet, why would God
make
laws for one set of people but then allow another set to have full
compliment to ignore them? Do you still obey the law of
gravity? What law of God do you *not* want to obey?
This
exciting lesson looks into Scripture to see what it holds regarding
this subject - you may discover something new! This lesson
was
taught at Benson Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church on 14 April, 2012.
The audio
and PowerPoint slides are all available on the Sword Sharpening page, and videos have been posted
on Godtube and Youtube.
A
Beast Called Islam, Part 9
Updated 2 April
2012
The
story of the beast continues with part 9. We began looking
at "The Sira:
The Life of Mohammed" with the last part of the study and we
continue now. This study looks at the pedophile
prophet's years after the move from Mecca to Medina and sees the
"birth" of the political system that we know today. It was in
Medina that Mohammed realized his easy going preaching days were behind
him and his new attitude of political motivation and warring took over
and still remains today. The audio
and PowerPoint slides are all available on the Sword Sharpening page, and videos have been posted
on Godtube and Youtube.
A
Beast Called Islam, Part 8
Updated 28 March
2012
The
story of the beast continues with part 8 and a look into "The Sira:
The Life of Mohammed". This study looks at the pedophile
prophet's early life in Mecca. We look at the beginnings of
Islam
as the prophet gets his visions and begins teaching the intolerance for
anything other than his newly created system of dominance.
The audio
and PowerPoint slides are all available on the Sword Sharpening page, and videos have been posted
on Godtube and Youtube.
A
Beast Called Islam, Part 7
Updated 19 March
2012
The
story of the beast continues with part 7.
This is the conclusion of the Shariah Law portion of the
study.
This was also the first time we were able to capture the
PowerPoint slides with the lesson to produce a video of the lesson!
The video has been uploaded to both Godtube
and Youtube. As usual, the
audio is available to the left and the PowerPoint slides are available
on the Sword Sharpening
page.
StandUpForTheTruth.com
Updated 14 March
2012
The owner of the site standupforthetruth.com
wrote me this week to tell me about a new story they had just posted on
Chrislam involving one of the Pastors from Rick Warren's Saddleback
Church. Visit her site to see the "Kingdom Circles" being
taught
(a jiQ measure) in Nice, France. It's growing folks...we have
to
keep the pressure on to get the grace and knowledge of the *only* Jesus
(the One in the Bible) out there!
A
Beast Called Islam, Part 6
Updated 12 March
2012
The
story of the beast continues with part 6.
From this point forward we are skipping the news portion of
the
lessons in favor of using the time more productively to look into the
real side of Islam, the political one. Shariah law is Islam,
and
Islam is Shariah law. No one wearing a hijab or calling
himself
an Imam will admit to that (especially the women trapped in the cult
and in fear of their lives), but the truth is available if one will
only study the legal books that set the course for the "fundamental"
Muslim's everyday actions. Make no mistake: their
legal
says that you and I (Jews and Christians, and *anyone* else who is not
a Muslim) are less than human and they will not be satisfied until we
convert, submit to being a dhimmi, or they see us dead. This
series is too important...do not let the liberal world tell you
otherwise. Learn everything about the "religion of peace".
Learn it now. The lesson is posted to the left and
on the Sword Sharpening
page.
Teaching
in Benson on Shariah Law
Updated 11 March
2012
We
met last Saturday, 3 March, in Benson and had a great discussion on
Shariah law. This lesson looks deeply into the political side
of
Islam (it's NOT a religion) and is indisputable on what it demands of
the nations that host Muslims in their country. In short,
there
is no compatibility and no common ground (jiQ folks - pay
attention!) between the United States Constitution and Shariah
law. This is a MUST for Christians - listen now!
The audio and the slides are both available on the Sword Sharpening page.
ACT
For America - John Guandolo
Updated 11 March
2012
The
ACT for America meeting featuring John Guandolo as guest speaker has
been cancelled (I don't know why). Pray that he will be
allowed
to speak with us sometime soon. More information when I get
it...
A
Beast Called Islam, Part 5
Updated 3 March
2012
The
story of the beast continues with part 5, covering current
news
surrounding Islam in America and abroad and a dive into the political
side (the only real side) of Islam with a view of Shariah Law.
Everything the Muslim does is according to Shariah law and
Americans need to understand it. You can see it taking effect
in
Europe already and even in some courts right here at home - judges
sworn to uphold the US Constitution are giving way to Islam and making
rulings based on Shariah law. Make no mistake American -
there is
NO commonality between the US Constitution and Shariah law, and you
will have no rights under this system. It's time to take a
stand
and this lesson and the upcoming ones will look in-depth into this evil
political system. We are
really beginning to see the growth of the "religion of peace" and the
exposition of its evil message. This lesson is available on the left menu or
on the Sword
Sharpening page!
The
Third Jihad
Updated 21
February
2012
This
week we took a break form the usual teaching to watch a film that has
grabbed CAIR's attention over the past few weeks (that is to say, they
don't like it -- that is to say, it tells the truth about Islam).
This film is narrated by Dr. Zuhdi Jasser, a Muslim who
wanted to
expose the "radical" (I prefer "fundamental") component of Islam that
is QUICKLY overwhelming the United States. This is the film
that
was shown to the NYPD academy cadets and even includes interviews with
NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly as he tells exactly what New York has been
going through since 9/11. Honestly, this is a good movie to
expose what is happening and is clean for family viewing (with minor
and *very short* sequences of violence against Jews and Christians).
I recommend it highly...it is about 71 minutes long.
Please
watch it now.
The
story of the beast continues with part 4, covering current news
surrounding Islam in America and abroad, a look at the nations that
have taken control of the land of Israel throughout the years (those
that are prevalent in King Nebuchadnezzar's dream in the book of
Daniel), and maps of the middle east over the centuries. We
are
really beginning to see the growth of the "religion of peace" and the
exposition of its evil message. This lesson is available on the left menu or
on the Sword
Sharpening page!
jiQ
denies (a part of) the humanity of Messiah
Updated 10
February
2012
I
thought long and hard about making this post but decided this morning
to do so when a co-worker came in and brought a passage of Scripture to
my attention which he had read and, without his even knowing about this
story, he thought it important to bring it to my attention. That's God
at work! I need no more than that...
At the latest jiQ
conference, the Pastor told a story of a discussion he had with two
Muslims. Now remember that, in Islam, the highest form of blasphemy you
can make is to suggest that god (their god) has a son. To
suggest
such is to suggest that he came down to earth and defiled himself with
Mary to make a son.
The story uses very "adult" words but I'm going to leave them out here
so you can use your imagination to fill in the blanks.
One
of the Muslims asked the Pastor if he thought jesus (the one in the
Quran obviously) was the son of god (their god). The other
Muslim
stopped him and said that what he was really
asking wasn't just a matter of his being the son of god but a question
of whether god has a (insert word for male reproductive organ).
Remember
the inference - if he has a son, he must have had a physical
relationship and therefore he must have a male organ
(apparently they have no concept of the virgin birth). The
next
words out of the Pastor's mouth shocked me: he said "No".
What?
No? How can the answer be "No"? I
immediately thought
of two things: I was made in the image of God and Jesus (in
the
Bible) is FULLY
MAN
and FULLY GOD. What part of FULLY is this Pastor missing?
Please see and understand the lengths to which these folks
will
go to ensure that they do not offend the Muslim - he
wouldn't even
admit the FULLY MAN aspect of Jesus Christ in witnessing to a lost
sinner.
Now, this morning this passage from 1st John was brought to my
attention, along with its commentary from MacArthur:
1st John 4:2 - "Hereby
know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus
Christ is
come in the flesh is of God:"
Commentary: John
gives a measuring stick to determine whether the propagator of the
message is a
demon spirit or the Holy Spirit.Jesus
Christ
has come in the flesh. This is the first
test of a true teacher:they acknowledge
and proclaim
that Jesus is God incarnate in human flesh. The Greek construction
does not mean that they
confess Christ as having come to earth, but that they confess that He
came in
the flesh to the earth, i.e., His human body was
physically real.Both
the full humanity and the full deity of
Jesus must be equally maintained by the teacher who is to be considered
genuinely of the Spirit. The Holy Spirit
testifies to the true nature of the Son, while Satan and his forces
distort and
deny that true nature.John
accentuates
the crucial importance of sound doctrine expressed in God’s Word as the
only
absolute and trustworthy standard.
And to top if off, let's hear from Isaiah:
Isaiah 8:20 - "To
the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word,
it is because there is no light in them."
So,
what more do I need to say to the folks following this heresy?
It
may be the "cool" thing to do on a weekend, to sit on the pew and be
told that it is okay to distort God's Word and to make concession when
it comes to witnessing, but the Truth does not compromise and neither
should we!
Jesus is not in the Quran!
Somebody get a flashlight and take it to these guys in Atlanta...
So
just who attends jiQ?
Updated 2
February
2012
Like
any group that knows what they are teaching is controversial (and that
is my kind word for heretical), the jiQ conferences are always prefaced
with things like "don't hand out any literature...get your own
conference and your own table if you want to discuss issues with the
agenda", etc. They always say things like that, but the
reason I
like attending these events is not so much to hand out literature
against their message (but I do hand out ministry cards with pertinent
messages) as it is to walk around during the breaks and meet people to
find out about why they're there and hopefully engage their minds into
thinking about just what it is they are doing. And I found
something very interesting this time around...
I must have
spoken with 10 - 15 people all together (granted, there were many more
than that present) of all ages. Not one of them was new
to jiQ! Just like myself, each of them had attended
the
event multiple times (at least three and some four times).
They
keep coming back for various reasons, mostly they say "to learn more
about witnessing to Muslims". But the all-important question
that
I always asked was "Have you actually read the Quran you are given each
time you attend this event?" And I bet you can guess their
answer. No. None of them had read it, but all
admitted that
"...maybe I should read it...". Yeah, you should.
And in it
you'll find that just because the leaders of your weekend excursion are
telling you that the two guys in it are the same as the Father and the
Son in the Bible, that doesn't make it so. In fact, you'll
find
Suras like the one below:
Sura 4:171 O People of the Scripture! Do
not
exaggerate in your religion nor utter aught concerning Allah save the
truth. The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was only a messenger of Allah,
and His word which He conveyed unto Mary, and a spirit from Him. So
believe in Allah and His messengers, and say not "Three" - Cease! (it
is) better for you! - Allah is only One God. Far is it removed from His
Transcendent Majesty that He should have a son. His is all that is in
the heavens and all that is in the earth. And Allah is sufficient as
Defender.
For help in understanding, "People of the
Scripture" refers to Jews and Christians. Continuing, it
states
that Jesus was "only a messenger", so it denegrates Him to human status
and takes away His deity. It goes on to order you not to
believe
in the Trinity (...say not "Three"). And lastly, and no doubt
the
best part for proving the falsehood of the jiQ conference all-together,
it explicitly states that it is far beneath the god of Islam to have a
son. Did you catch that? He doesn't have a son! He
cannot
be Yehovah, the Creator God of the Bible! And therefore, the jesus in the Quran
cannot be the Jesus in the Bible!
I'm
so thankful for an experiment this past weekend that proved that this
group does not seem to be growing. They may state otherwise,
but
I was there and have first hand knowledge (plus some help from a friend
who joined me on the trip) that they are not growing. I'm
fine
with meeting the same people each time I attend the event - may they
continue to attend and remain a tight-knit group who will hopefully
hear the new member of the team who is not afraid to stand up and tell
the Truth as it really is (see "Some jiQ results" below).
On
Jesus and "another Jesus" (more jiQ)
Updated 1
February
2012
If
you have been following what is happening with the "jesus in the Quran"
(jiQ) seminar, you know I disagree with much of what they put out at
the events. For starters, you need look no further than the
name
of the event itself to see the deception they are trying to create:
jesus in the Quran. The Christian without much time
in the
Bible will easily succomb to believing such a statement - that their
Savior is also represented in another book (not to mention that it is a
book of a lying, capricious god who wants YOU to die for HIM).
This seminar can only have an effect on those who choose not
to
study the True Word of God on their own but who are content to be fed
from the pulpit and take no concern to validate what they are being
told (see Acts 17:11 and be like the Bereans!).
The
character named Isa in the Quran is who they are talking about.
And although the name may translate to jesus, that no more
makes
him my savior than any hispanic man named Jesus (Hey-Suse).
Sharing a name does not make a character, it merely shares a
name. But there is more.
Paul was so jealous over the church in Corinth that he wrote the
following, warning them about the jesus in the Quran seminar:
2Co 11:1 Would to God ye could
bear with me a
little in my folly: and indeed bear with me.
2Co 11:2 For I am jealous over
you with godly
jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present
you as a chaste virgin to Christ.
2Co 11:3 But I fear, lest by
any means, as the
serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be
corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
2Co
11:4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus,
whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye
have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye
might well bear with him.
Okay, so he never had to deal with
the exact seminar that we're talking about here, but you don't have to
have studied much to see the similarities. Paul even stressed
that the false teaching would involve the same name! How much
more clear can this get? DO NOT BEAR WITH THIS LIE!
As
much as it pains me to suggest you read the filth contained in it, I
urge you to do some personal study on the characters presented in the
Quran. Get past the name similarities and translations and
look
into the character (the fiber, the morals, the makeup) of the
individual leaders of the religion
political system of Islam. You cannot conclude any different
than I did.
Jesus is not in the Quran!
Tomorrow - So just who is attending these events? Is it
growing?

Halal @ jiQ
Updated 31
January
2012
During this past weekend's
visit to the jiQ seminar in Atlanta (at Grace Midtown Church),
it eventually came time for lunch on Saturday (lunch is provided as
part of the cost of entry to the seminar). I was wondering if
the
food being served would be halal compliant because of the few Muslims
in the crowd. As lunch was announced, sure enough, it was
also
announced that the food was halal. This meant that the ten or
so
Muslims could eat without concern about what they were putting in their
bodies - this food had been sacrificed to their false god.
According to the Quran, they are in compliance with their
false
god's commands:
Sura 2:172-173 O ye who
believe! Eat of the
good things wherewith We have provided you, and render thanks to Allah
if it is (indeed) He Whom ye worship. He hath forbidden you
only carrion, and blood, and swineflesh, and that which hath been
immolated to (the name of) any other than Allah.
Sura
6:121 And eat
not of that whereon Allah's name hath not been mentioned,
for lo! it is abomination.
But
what about the 260+ "Christians" in attendance? I wonder how
many
of them understood the meaning of halal? Here are the details
that the leaders hosting the event should have shared with their
audience.
Halal food has been slaughtered in a certain
manner compliant with the Quran. While the animal is fully
conscious,
its throat is slit (deeply slit) to allow the blood to drain from the
body while the animal suffers incredibly (while I won't link to them
from here, you can do a quick Internet search to find videos of halal
slaughters and see for yourself). While the animal is
suffering
for the sake of evil, it is also being prayed over by an imam as it is
offered to the false god of Islam. Yes, halal foods have been
sacrified
to an idol. If you are even somewhat familiar
with your Bible, this should startle you!
When
the Way was gaining momentum and the Gentiles were coming to a saving
grace and knowledge of Yeshua, the Jerusalem Council was faced with
what to do with these folks...should they be circumsised and be put
under all the law? Peter stood up with a question as to why
they
would put a burden upon the Gentiles that neither they nor their
fathers could bear in times past. In response, the council
sent a
letter to the church stating that they needed to do four things:
Acts
15:20 But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions
of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled,
and from blood. (KJV)
Did
you notice the very first item listed? Well, the KJV can be
kind
of hard to understand sometimes, so let's see it in another translation:
Acts
15:20 Instead, we should write and tell them to abstain from eating food
offered to idols, from sexual immorality, from eating the
meat of strangled animals, and from consuming blood. (NLT)
Well!
That's certainly more clear. ABSTAIN FROM EATING
FOOD
OFFERED TO IDOLS. It seems as though the Jerusalem Council
held
this as quite a high command to the people of YHWH - it was the very
first command listed in the letter! But this past weekend at
Grace Midtown, 260+ Christians, who probably have no idea what halal
means, were led directly to the table filled with halal foods and told
that it was not only okay to eat but were told how wonderful the food
tastes and that they should simply enjoy!
I see just one
more problem with this: Yeshua Himself, in red letters,
talking
to John and directing His words towards the church of Pergamos, said:
Rev
2:14 But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast
there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a
stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat
things sacrificed unto idols,
and to commit fornication. (KJV)
It
would seem that Yeshua echoed His dissatisfaction about His people
eating things offered to idols! Why would a church today want
to
put itself in the position of offering such disgusting foods to its
gathering and then making it seem so palatable and okay to eat?
But wait, there's more! It wasn't only the church of Pergamos
that Yeshua was upset with for this sin. Speaking to the
church
of Thyatira, He said the same thing:
Rev
2:20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee,
because
thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess,
to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat
things sacrificed unto idols.
(KJV)
I
think it's pretty clear where He draws the line on this. The
only
way I can see a church not wanting to heed the words of Yeshua (He that hath an ear, let him hear what
the Spirit saith unto the churches) is that they don't
"have an ear" for what He says.
Jesus is not in the Quran!
Some
jiQ Results

I'm
back and need to discuss some important points from this past "jesus in
the Quran" seminar. First, remember that I do not capitalize the name
jesus in that title because Jesus Christ, Yeshua, Messiah, the Son of
God, the Savior, is not in the Quran! The very title itself
is
misleading to both Christians and Muslims who attend these seminars.
Bottom line up front, this is still a misleading and,
at very best, confusing teaching. I can see no
reason
whatsoever to compromise the Truth about Jesus and yet these guys still
compromise on two very important points: they teach that the
jesus in the Quran is the Jesus in the Bible and that the god of Islam
(I do not pronounce or even write his name - see Exodus 23:13) is the
God of the Bible - both are heretical and wrong.
I will say
this very openly and publicly: they admitted that Jesus is
the
Son of God! There is a new member of the jiQ team, whose name
I
will withhold until receiving his permission to post it, who seems to
use a teaching when witnessing to Muslims that actually leads them to
faith in Jesus, the Savior, God incarnate! Now that is witnessing and I
thanked him for "doing it right". He and I had several
discussions throughout the seminar and we seemed to agree on many
points that still need clarity in their overall presentation,
summarized below.
The teaching goes quite heavy early on in
Genesis 17, specifically verses 18 - 20, wherein Abraham asks God that
Ishmael be blessed. They use the NIV version of the Bible in
which God replies "Yes". The problem is that 1) the NIV is
the
*only* translation of the Bible that says yes at this point and 2) they
fail to continue reading into verse 21 in which God states "...But my
covenant I will establish with Isaac, whom Sarah will bear to you by
this time next year." There is a difference between a
blessing
and a covenant - the believer, the follower, the one who is devoted to
Jesus wants to be part of the covenant.
I asked about
Galatians 4:22-31. In that passage, Paul (who the teachers of
the
seminar love to talk about, expounding on "Paul's methods" of teaching)
discusses the two sons of Abraham even deeper, and he makes the
explicit point that Ishmael has no part of the relationship with Yeshua:
Gal 4:28 Now you, brothers,
like Isaac, are children of promise.
Gal 4:29 At that time the son born in the
ordinary way persecuted the son born by the power of the Spirit.
It is the same now.
Gal 4:30 But what does the
Scripture say? "Get rid of the slave woman and her son, for the slave woman's son
will never share in the inheritance with thefree woman's son."
Gal 4:31 Therefore,
brothers, we
are not children of the slave woman, but of the free woman.
(NIV)
And
that is the NIV translation! That's the same one as used in
the
seminar! Did you catch those underlined parts? It
seems to
me that Paul is quite clear that the covenant belongs to believers and
that the inheritance belongs to believers and that the descendants of
Ishmael ARE NOT OUR EQUAL!
Also, on Galatians 4:29 (see the
underlined part above): Paul makes it clear here that
Ishmael,
the son born in the ordinary way" PERSECTUED
Isaac. This points directly to Genesis 16:12 in which we find
the following:
Gen 16:12
He will be a wild donkey of a man, His hand will be against
everyone, And everyone's hand will be against him; And he
will live to the east of all his brothers.. (NASB)
To
clear up any confusion that you may have about the underlined part of
the above verse, the jiQ folks explain that "his hand will be against
everyone" simply means that his hand will be in his neighbors' hands as
they shake hands, making fond relationships and getting along with all.
And of course, everyone will respond with a kind handshake.
It's funny that, yet again, they have found the one obscure
thought to describe (and to lessen the evil impact of) this verse that
makes the line of Ismael seem the monster that it is.
But
did you notice that I gave you the NASB version of that verse?
That's the one offered in the seminar for this verse (they
use
the translation of the Bible with the most impact toward whatever their
immediate goal is). The reason they use the NASB here is for
the
part after
the underlined
part (go back and read it now). Did you read it? If you're
finished, here is the NIV translation...notice the difference:
Gen 16:12 He will
be a wild donkey of
a man; his hand will be against everyone and everyone's hand against
him, and he
will live in hostility toward all hisbrothers.
(NIV)
Did
you catch that last part? You see, at the seminar, they
prefer
not to highlight the evil parts of Ishmael and their descendants,
preferring instead to state that he will simply "...live to the east of
all his brothers." Poor Ishmael, so misunderstood when he is
actually just shaking hands with his neighbors and living "to the east"
in quiet solitude.
It is also very clear that the teachers
still believe that Isa (jesus) in the Quran and Jesus Christ are the
same, and that the god of Islam is the God of the Bible (to hear the
lead Pastor explain it, there is only one God and, therefore,
since the god of Islam is "a" god, he must be "the" God. They
MUST be worshipping the same God. That's a path best not
taken,
Christian! Please realize heresy when you hear of it.
There
is more, but I must stop now. I'll update more as soon as I
can.
For now, understand that the only way to teach Jesus is to
teach
JESUS, and the only way to teach God is to teach GOD. The
jesus
in the Quran is not Jesus, and the god of Islam is not God.
They
are not the same. Jesus is not in the Quran!

I'm
off with some ministry support folks to Atlanta this weekend for the
jesus in the Quran seminar to see what changes they've made in the past
year. If you are a Christian and reading this and
you find yourself caught up in this
"Chrislam" mess, I urge you review this page and look at what
is
truly happening within Islam and then ask yourself, "Can that god
possibly be the God of the Bible?" I think you'll quickly see
the
true answer there. Click over to the Christian Resources
page to get some point cards and feel free to modify them and use them
in your own ministry. Praise be to YHWH! Just like
Nancy
Reagan with the drugs, when it comes to jIQ.

The
Aleph and the Tav Redux
Updated 9 January
2012
The
message on the Aleph and the Tav was so well received and meant so much
to those of us hearing it the first time, I decided to offer it again
at Benson Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church at our monthly meeting.
We met on Saturday, 7 January and had a rather large turnout
and
everyone was moved by the powerful message of the Aleph and the Tav as
they appear in the original Hebrew Scriptures. Please take an
hour to listen to this message and let me know what you think of it.

December

The
story of the beast continues with part 2, covering current news
surrounding Islam in America and abroad, a history of the spirit of
Amalek (you must understand from a Biblical viewpoint the dangers that
Islam entails), and a thorough look at adoption from a Hebraic
perspective. Do you need more proof that
the god of Islam is *NOT* the
God of the Bible? Simply listen to this message. Of
course the good ole
boys at "jesus in the Quran" wouldn't agree with comparing pure
Scripture to the Quran, especially the pastor (Buddy Hoffman) who
admits that he has never read the Quran, but if your eyes are open to
Yeshua, you'll understand the first time through. It's

Despite
what the folks over at "jesus in the Quran" would have you believe, the
god of Islam and the God of the Bible are NOT THE SAME! This
series intends to expose the evil that lurks within Islam (have you
seen the news lately?) and its true intent of destruction of Israel and
all of her supporters, as the church should be. This is part
1 of
many parts and gives just a brief introduction to Islam. As
the
series progresses, the depth of evil will be exposed. Do not
be
fooled by churches who would call for inclusion or "Chrislam".

When
King David wanted to build a house for YHWH, he was told no.
However, he was told that his son, Solomon, would be allowed

noticed
in the Scripture how Solomon himself refers to it? He doesn't
say
he is going to build a house for YHWH, but for the name of YHWH.

Last

they have to be able to show the Truth in the Old Testament.
This

Confronting
"Chrislam"
Updated 5 October

This
Pastor knows what he's talking about - this heresy about the inclusive
worship of Christians and Muslims is widely misunderstood and many (TOO
many) churches are welcoming and embracing this. Trust me -
the
jesus in the Qur'an is NOT the Jesus of the Bible!
Watch this short video (just over 5 minutes), and thank God for men
like this Pastor!
A couple
of months ago I posted a video for you to watch, but was only able to
post the first 5 minutes of the video. I watched it
many
times before deciding to recommend
it to you. This Pastor has done a good job of reporting on
the jiQ (a major part of what has been called the "C5 Movement" in
modern evangelism) seminar that I have attended twice and have
discussed with you before. Make no mistake: THE JIQ
TEACHING IS HERESY IN IT'S CLEAREST SENSE.
The
teachers have been recorded in the video plainly denying that Jesus (of
the Bible) is the Son of God, and there are many other grand goofs
within the video as well. I urge you to watch the video
and listen intently so that you will be
armed AGAINST such wrong teaching! It is a little over 18
minutes long. Be sure to listen as the Pastor discusses Jamie
Winship and his wife Donna - these are the folks that I personally
witnessed praying to the god of Islam (yes, calling him by name as
opposed to Exodus 23:13) in a church in Cary, NC (Grace Bible
Fellowship). Jamie states, at approximately the 5:50 mark,
that "we have enough
Christians in our church...we don't need you"
and he will deny
that Jesus is the Son of God at the 7:30 mark. This video needs to be seen!
Be prepared for this teaching to
come
to another
church near you. Here's a link to the
full video - please
tell everyone you know about it!

What's
in a Name?
Updated 15
September
2011
The
folks over at "jesus in the Quran" seem to think that the name is all
there is to identifying the god. Because there is a guy named
Isa
in the Quran, whose name translation is Jesus (don't get them confused
- not the Jesus of the Bible), they teach that this is the same guy and
that he is there to save Muslims and to keep them Muslims
(yep, just as He (the real Jesus) teaches for all sinners - get saved
and
stay in sin). Here's a little story to show the difference:
I
had been working hard all day and was exhausted. Family and
job
issues were wearing me down and life seemed hopeless to the point of
despair. As I was driving home I saw a sign in the
neighborhood:
I called.
Two hours later a Mexican man showed up and began mowing my
lawn.

Serious Bible teaching, that
which recognizes only PURE
BIBLE and NO
COMPROMISE,
brings serious attention to the one doing the teaching.
In
the last month+, several very bad things have happened to my family,
including the total loss of a home due to fire and the loss of one of
my grandchildren through miscarriage. Bombs were dropping all
around me, and then one hit the target in the form of a motorcycle
accident that has brought me down for a small time. But as I
prayed over how to continue (that's right - I won't stop teaching the
Truth), I was unsure of how to get back on track. Today, I
found
the answer in Isaiah 62:1.
"For
Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will
not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and
the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth."
This
ministry exists to provide True insight to the Scriptures of Yehovah
and His Son, Yeshua, and also to expose Islam for what it truly is, the
religion of Satan. This means that not only am I offending
Satan
and drawing his attention, but I'm also offending many churches today
that have taken their denominational doctrine so far from the
Scriptures that they can no longer relate to pure Bible reading and
understanding. These church leaders are represented by the
second
son in the parable that Yeshua tells in Matthew 21:28-32.
They
say they do His work, and they even may believe they do, but a thorough
understanding of His work is lost in their man-made doctrine.
So,
to their dislike, I will be back on my feet soon and ready to begin
again. I will teach and preach His Word every day, all day.
To the persecution that comes, I say, come on.
I don't think this needs any comment... More

In
response to the jiQ seminars, I made some cards that should prompt
questions in the mind of any Christian with even minimal Bible
knowledge. The inclusion of Islam in Christian activities is
exactly what Satan wants (this new Chrislam movement) so that you and I
will not recognize the dangers of his religion. DO NOT LET
SATAN
FOOL YOU! Be ready to respond to what is wrong when you see
it,
and know that Jesus (of the Bible) is NOT in the Quran! Below

The
Fall Feasts
Updated 15 June 2011
We
met in Benson this past Sabbath for a teaching on the Fall Feasts of
YHWH and had a great time. We learned about Yom Teruah (the
Day
of Trumpets), Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement), and Sukkot (Feast of
Booths or Tabernacles). A thorough look at the feasts as
outlined
in Leviticus 23 will reveal their prophetic role, and each of the fall
feasts point to the Messiah's second coming.
I have the
audio and PowerPoint slides available below, but they are also on the
Sword Sharpening page (in to top menu). Please review the
slides
from the Spring Feasts as well for a complete coverage of all the
feasts.
Today
I leave for Snellville, GA, to attend another "jesus in the Quran"
seminar. You may remember me talking about this a few months
ago
- this is where they lie to Christians and Muslims by what they call
"finding common ground" and pointing to the god of Islam as the same as
the God of the Bible and, therefore, the character Isa as the True
Jesus Christ! Nothing could be farther from the truth and
these
people are deceived
and are deceiving.
For a refresher, here are links to the rebuttal sermon I preached last year that
counters all of their points with Biblical scripture, beginning with
Exodus 23:13:
"And in
all things that I have said unto you be circumspect: and make no mention of
the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth."
These guys have no problem praying
in the name of the god of Islam,
and, even worse, they have no problem emphasizing that you should
attend a mosque to worship that god. As Chuck Missler used to
say, "When you're looking for the ministers of Satan, don't overlook
the pulpit". This is dangerous.
I'll be back on Sunday - feel free to contact
me for more at any time.
